We have been inspired by going on this learning journey with you, and have learned a lot from your reflections, discussions, and projects. We wanted to discuss some next steps for the POSE program.
POSE Course Completion
We hope that participating in POSE has been a valuable experience for you regardless of how you chose to participate. For those of you who are interested in completing the course and receiving a certificate of achievement, the Canvas course will remain open until the end of day August 31st.
In order to receive the certificate of completion you need to complete each of the unit learning activities and confirm this by completing the end of unit quizzes.
We will send an announcement for those who completed the program on how to access their PDF Certificate of completion in early September.
Putting Your Knowledge to Work
POSE isn’t over – we’ve recently launched a new optional unit focused on developing a project that applies what you have learned during the POSE program in a practical way. The unit is meant to support you in critically thinking about the POSE content, selecting an area of interest, setting practical goals, and completing those goals with the potential for long-term application in your practice. The unit contains project examples, a project outline template, and a discussion forum. We’ll be having open office hours in August and September if you’d like to drop and in get support. Additionally, during Open Access Week in October, we’ll be hosting lightning talks for any POSE participants who planned or implemented projects. Sign up now!
POSE Evaluation Survey
If you haven’t already done so, please take a few minutes and complete the POSE evaluation form. Your feedback and comments are important. We will be revising the program and we are eager to hear your feedback on what went well and what might be improved.
Finally, we wanted to let you know how inspiring it has been to learn with all of you. We have appreciated the passion and experience in open scholarship and open practices that you have all brought into this course. We hope that completing this course has been a valuable step in your open journey and look forward to working and learning with you in the near future.
